## Description

Join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, where you work alongside Infrastructure and Research and Development partners to keep Salesforce cloud services available for customers around the clock.

This role is based in Herndon, VA and is eligible for an onsite work arrangement.

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

### Responsibilities

- Monitor customer-facing services and respond to Severity 0 and Severity 1 incidents, leading technical reviews and contributing to root cause analyses.

- Automate the detection and resolution of recurring production issues to reduce repetitive manual work.

- Contribute to compliance, resiliency, and self-healing initiatives, including destructive testing and resiliency drills.

- Partner with and mentor teammates to stay current on industry technology and drive team development.

### Requirements

- Experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or support, with hands-on experience using the command line on Unix variants, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

- Experience with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking technologies and protocols.

- Experience with incident management in a 24/7 environment.

- Write scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages and have experience provisioning and operating Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.

### Nice to Have

- Solid understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service operations.

- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet, and pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Spinnaker.

- Hands-on experience supporting and managing Kubernetes-based applications and services.

- Certifications in Linux+, Red Hat, or AWS.

- Familiarity with Agile processes and DevOps practices.

The typical base salary range for this position is $117,200 - $176,700 annually.
