## Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a Director of Development to join their research and engineering team. As a Director of Development, you will work collaboratively to shape the future of interactive entertainment powered by artificial intelligence.

You will translate technical objectives into coherent plans and leverage automation and AI agents to improve how teams plan, coordinate, and execute work. You will also create systems that enable teams to understand priorities, progress, interdependencies, risks, and results.

Responsibilities:

- Translate research and engineering objectives into plans, milestones, and deliverables.

- Guide projects from exploration to prototyping, integration, and publication.

- Establish planning, execution, evaluation, and progression processes for research and engineering teams.

- Maintain an overview of priorities, progress, interdependencies, risks, and results.

- Coordinate decisions to overcome obstacles and mitigate project risks.

- Rely on multidisciplinary discussions to make decisions, implement actions, assign responsibilities, and define next steps.

- Develop AI agent workflows that automate planning, reporting, coordination, and information synthesis.

- Improve production processes and tools based on project and team needs.

Requirements:

- At least 5 years of experience in managing technical projects or programs related to software, research, engineering, or similar environments.

- Experience in managing scope, timelines, interdependencies, risks, and execution of technical programs.

- Implementation of Agile, Kanban, Lean, or similar development methodologies.

- Practical experience in creating or operating AI agent automation workflows.

- Knowledge of large language model concepts, including task decomposition, tool usage, retrieval, and evaluation.

- Ability to synthesize technical information for teams and management.

- Proficiency in Jira or similar planning and tracking tools.

- Experience in coordinating research, engineering, product, and partner teams.
