## Description

We support the development and manufacturing of mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging for next-generation hardware platforms. Our team works at the intersection of mechanical engineering and manufacturing, helping bring hardware designs into production through manufacturability reviews, prototype builds, process improvements, and hands-on troubleshooting.

As a Mechanical Engineer on our team, you will focus on supporting the manufacturing and production of mechanical hardware from prototype through production. You will evaluate designs for manufacturability and assembly, identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, and work cross-functionally to resolve mechanical and production issues.

You will collaborate with hardware design, manufacturing, test assurance, thermal, supplier quality, and manufacturing partners to support prototype builds and production readiness. Your responsibilities will include DFM/DFA reviews, assembly and manufacturing process improvements, root-cause and failure analysis, tolerance evaluation, BOM support, and supplier engagement. You will also use mechanical engineering principles to troubleshoot issues, optimize product cost and quality, and ensure designs can be efficiently and reliably manufactured.

**Minimum Qualifications**

- A Master's degree with 0 years of work experience; or

- A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of work experience.

- Qualifying education and work experience should be in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Experience supporting mechanical hardware manufacturing, assembly, prototyping, NPI, or production processes.

- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), mechanical tolerances, and manufacturing processes.

- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, prototype builds, assembly, or reliability/failure testing.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Test, and supplier teams.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), production readiness, or manufacturing process development.

- Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools and the ability to review or make basic modifications to mechanical designs.

- Experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers on manufacturability, quality, cost, or production issues.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or structured problem-solving methodologies.

- Experience analyzing BOMs, tolerances, assembly processes, or mechanical manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.

The starting salary range posted for this position is $112,200.00 to $162,200.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits.
