## Description

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Atlanta, GA office.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will design complex cooling and HVAC systems for mission critical facilities, including air distribution systems, chiller plants, and alternative energy solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Independently supporting project teams during design and construction stages

- Designing air distribution, hydronic, and automated temperature control systems

- Integrating complex mechanical engineering requirements into facility designs

- Collaborating with multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents

- Attending client meetings and contributing to discussions

- Mentoring and training junior engineers

- Performing Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) evaluations

- Selecting and scheduling major equipment

- Developing project specifications

- Surveying and evaluating existing conditions

- Performing construction administration tasks

The ideal candidate has:

- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on mechanical building systems

- 5+ years of experience designing mechanical systems for high-performing, commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, and Pipeflow

- Knowledge of building, mechanical, and energy codes

Preferred qualifications include:

- EIT or Registered Professional Engineer (PE)

- Experience with CFD analysis and modeling

- Mission Critical/Data Center experience

- International project experience
