## Description

We are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join our team in London. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting accounts for all classes of Equine and Bloodstock business, administering ongoing policies, and leading a team of experienced industry professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Exercise personal skill set, knowledge, and technical expertise for the overall benefit of DUAL/Ashby Underwriting

- Participate in applicable professional, technical, and development training

- Provide clients and customers with relevant training when required

- Continuously share ideas, best practices, and other information to benefit the team

- Develop and enhance relationships with business partners, policy holders, and service providers

- Ensure that the service provided to clients is of the highest technical standard

Requirements:

- Ability to work efficiently and methodically

- Ability to communicate effectively

- High-level interpersonal skills

- All-round awareness of aspects of the insurance industry

- Technical knowledge of FCA, current case law, and legislation

- Significant experience in the insurance industry, including policy work, basic accounts, claims, insurance underwriting/broking, and direct client liaison

- Strong product awareness with significant experience of underwriting specific class(es)
