As a Specialty Sales Team Leader at Target, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving sales growth. Your responsibilities will include: - Consistently delivering guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience - Ensuring every team member understands and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments and operations - Actively observing and providing feedback to team members, recognising great guest experience moments - Reviewing area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities for improvement - Demonstrating a service culture that prioritises the guest service experience - Leading and demonstrating a culture of executing all best practices, including team onboarding and learning - Developing, coaching, and leading a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate - Assigning daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns - Encouraging team members to use available tools to provide personalised recommendations to guests - Partnering with third-party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are met - Supporting team execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets and visual presentations - Creating inspiring visual moments by ensuring product is organised, signed correctly, and merchandised to support seasonal trends - Supporting your direct leader in leading assigned department area backroom processes, organisation, layout, and replenishment of the sales floor - Participating in team hiring and onboarding processes - Leading your team in prioritising the guest experience and ensuring the fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe - Supporting your direct leader in establishing clear goals and expectations and holding team members accountable - Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance - Leading and demonstrating a safety culture through modelling and recognising safe behaviours - Modelling the execution of physical security processes to enhance the in-store security culture - Supporting merchandise protection strategies across the total store - Occasionally assuming store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities - Addressing all store emergency and compliance needs - Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up To succeed in this role, you should have: - A high school diploma or equivalent - Previous retail experience, although not required - Ability to lead and hold others accountable - Effective communication skills - Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment - Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks independently - Access to all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues - Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information - Accurately handling cash register operations as needed - Ability to climb up and down ladders as needed - Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Reliable and prompt attendance necessary Target offers eligible team members and their dependents comprehensive health benefits and programs, including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and more.
