## Description

We are seeking a mission-driven Substitute High School Teacher to join our team at Alpine Academy, a therapeutic boarding school and college preparatory school located in Erda, Utah. As a substitute teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining classroom discipline and carrying on with classroom procedures as if you were the regular teacher. You will teach 7th-12th grade students and report on their progress. Our school provides a unique residential environment with a family-like setting for behavioural treatment, clinical therapy, and education. Class sizes are limited to 12 students, ensuring a nurturing and collaborative learning environment.

## Responsibilities

- Follow lesson plans left by the regular teacher

- Teach 7th-12th grade students

- Report on student progress

- Manage the classroom

## Schedule

- As needed

- School hours: 8:00 AM - 2:40 PM

- Four 70-minute classes and a 70-minute preparation period each day

## Requirements

- Bachelor's degree preferred

- Ability to pass a background check

- Up-to-date TB screening

- Willingness and desire to work with youth in treatment

- Ability and desire to build rapport with youth

- Willingness to learn and use components of our treatment model, Teaching-Family Model
