## Description

We offer a unique opportunity for you to train with us in our Hong Kong office, gaining practical experience in one of Asia's leading financial centres.

You will begin with a four-week summer internship programme in Hong Kong, which will give you a taste of life at Freshfields. If you perform satisfactorily, you will be offered a position as a Legal Assistant in our Hong Kong office upon graduation. In this role, you will assist major enterprises with listings in Hong Kong and investments abroad, as well as advise on cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

High-performing Legal Assistants will then progress to the BPP University Law School in the UK, where they will pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) and the City Consortium Solicitor Training Programme (CCP). This programme will prepare you for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), the new qualification route for aspiring solicitors.

Following the completion of your studies and SQE assessments, we will offer you a training contract with our London office. During the two-year contract, you will spend your first year in London and your second year in Hong Kong. Our comprehensive training programme covers various areas of law, including corporate, dispute resolution, and finance.

After completing the training contract, you will qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales, with the opportunity to become an Associate in one of our Asian offices.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist leading enterprises with listings in Hong Kong and investments abroad
