## Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Data Engineer to join our team at Barclays in Pune. The successful candidate will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence.

**Purpose of the role** The role involves defining strategic group objectives, including financial and business strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.

**Accountabilities**

- Development and execution of acquisition, disposal, and strategic partnership activities

- Monitoring and evaluation of financial performance, market position, and strategic fit of potential acquisition and partnership targets

- Development of business cases for potential acquisitions

- Collaboration across departments to develop deal structures

- Management and communication of post-merger integration plans

- Identification of industry trends and developments related to M&A tools and techniques

**Analyst Expectations**

- Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard

- Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge and experience in assigned area of expertise

- Lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development

- Partner with other functions and business areas

- Take responsibility for end results of team's operational processing and activities

**Required Skills**

- Overall experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, process mining, business intelligence, data warehousing, or enterprise data platforms

- Hands-on experience with Celonis

- Strong SQL expertise

- Strong understanding of Celonis Process Query Language (PQL)

- Experience building scalable data pipelines

- Good understanding of banking and financial services processes

- Experience with relational databases and enterprise or cloud data platforms

**Preferred Skills**

- Celonis certification in Data Engineering, Process Mining, EMS, or related learning tracks

- Experience with Object-Centric Process Mining and Celonis process intelligence capabilities

- Exposure to Python, Java, REST APIs, ETL tools, orchestration tools, and automation platforms
