## Description

University College London Hospital NHS Trust (UCLH) is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic applicant for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow in Neonatal Medicine (ST6+ equivalent). This is an exciting opportunity to gain tertiary neonatal intensive care experience working in the heart of central London at UCLH. The appointment is for 6 months, working in the neonatal intensive care unit at UCLH.

The UCLH neonatal unit is the primary referral centre for neonatal intensive care for the North Central London Perinatal Network and provides a full range of intensive care for the sickest and most vulnerable babies. The unit is accredited in Australia for paediatric training, reflecting the high quality of clinical experience and training available.

The successful candidate will join a well-established clinical, academic and multidisciplinary neonatal team with an international reputation for delivering excellent neonatal care, education and research. Responsibilities include:

- Undertaking responsibilities consistent with acting as the senior clinical decision maker and chief doctor on the shift

- Ensuring safe, effective and coordinated patient care while supporting junior staff and collaborating closely with the MDT

- Contributing actively to quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance and the ongoing development of neonatal services

- Participating in research and educational activities

Requirements:

- oMBBS or equivalent medical qualification

- oMRCPCH or equivalent

- Previous experience of working at middle grade in paediatrics/neonatology in the UK or at an equivalent level neonatal unit overseas

- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment

- Eligibility to work in the UK
