## Description

We are seeking an Insurance Risk Manager - AVP to support the Risk Function in delivering its objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Developing the strategic direction for risk, including implementing up-to-date methodologies and processes

- Managing the risk department, including overseeing risk colleagues and their performance

- Maintaining relationships with risk stakeholders and ensuring the quality of external third-party services

- Adhering to the Risk policy, standards, and frameworks

As an Assistant Vice President, you will be expected to:

- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness

- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills

- Collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions

The ideal candidate will have:

- Foundational knowledge of commercial insurance or risk management

- Interest in supporting insurance programs, renewals, project activities, and relationships with brokers, insurers, and other service providers

- Understanding of commercial insurance lines such as Property, Construction, Casualty, or Management Liability

- Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities, ask thoughtful questions, and complete work effectively

Some highly valued skills may include:

- ARM and/or CPCU

- Interest in learning insurance systems, data analysis, workflow automation, and responsible use of AI tools

- Clear written and verbal communication skills

- Curiosity, sound judgment, and a practical approach to problem-solving

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $160,000 per year.
