## Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Raymond, Ohio. As an entry-level chassis design engineer, you will be responsible for designing chassis parts and systems that meet targeted schedule and deliver outstanding performance, quality, reliability, value, and enjoyment to Honda's customers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Achieve performance, quality, cost, and delivery targets under the guidance of more senior engineers

- Think critically and apply fundamental engineering principles to complex targets

- Plan and coordinate activities with other design, test, factory, purchasing, and suppliers

- Create own schedules with milestones and trigger points, and share with related groups

- Attend meetings, lead occasionally, and give constructive thoughts along with keeping track of open items

- Review costs to ensure they meet design intentions and provide solutions if they do not

- Model parts and systems in 3D and release 2D drawings and specifications using CATIA and MS Office

- Proactively share development progress with function members and Chief to confirm proper direction, successful completion, or raise awareness of concerns

- Complete all required training and share best practices with peers

- Create value and innovation by studying technical trends and new technology, considering more efficient processes, making proposals that create new value, and confirming application of development strategies

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering

- 0-2 years of relevant experience; co-op experience preferred

- Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5/V6) and Microsoft Office
