## Description

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Shanghai, China. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will drive growth through customer collaboration, new application development, and new product commercialization. You will leverage 3M's resources to develop and implement Customer Inspired Innovation programs, focusing on market specialization that complements product expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with customers to develop new applications and commercialize new products

- Develop value propositions for effective commercialization and coordinate field trials with customers

- Evaluate local competition and marketing practices, and replicate and develop product/market applications

- Demonstrate fluency in industry standards, practices, and regulations, and participate in industry bodies that set standards

- Provide field support for major customers and deliver customer and market-focused training through e-media

Requirements:

- Master's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science, or Mechanical Engineering

- At least 5 years of experience providing technical support to customers in a technical/application engineering role

- Good command of English

- Knowledge and experience with tapes and/or adhesives applications

- Knowledge and experience with assembly processes in the automotive industry

- Experience in translating customer demands into technical aspects of applications and presenting to internal colleagues and external customers

- Ability to teach and engage across various cultures and disciplines

- Digital work capabilities and experience are a plus
