## Description

Working as a Starbucks Barista at Target involves providing a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks food and beverages. You will be responsible for managing food quality and freshness, following state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines.

As a Starbucks Barista, your typical day will include:

- Creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience

- Greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues

- Actively supporting team efforts and assisting peers in other areas

- Adjusting to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience

- Delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience

- Upholding and maintaining the execution of Food & Beverage Standards

- Executing food and beverage processes, including food deliveries, replenishment, and inventory accuracy

- Maintaining an inviting dining area for guests throughout your shift

- Engaging with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards

- Producing handcrafted beverages and food to specifications

- Following all food safety requirements and completing cleaning tasks

- Locating and identifying damaged, recalled, or expired items and processing according to best practices

- Ensuring accurate in-stocks and following proper perishable inventory procedures

- Executing sampling best practices and completing required training requirements and certifications

- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

- Working in a safe manner and reporting hazards

- Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up

To be successful in this role, you should:

- Enjoy interacting and helping others

- Thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role

- Be open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts

- Have previous Starbucks or food service experience (preferred but not required)

- Possess a welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members

- Be able to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment

- Be able to work both independently and with a team

- Resolve guest questions quickly and have attention to detail

- Be capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
