## Description

Join Robinhood's Government Affairs team in Washington, DC, and play a crucial role in shaping the company's policy positions and representing it at the highest levels of government.

As a Government Affairs Associate, you will focus on building relationships with policymakers, driving federal advocacy, and advancing Robinhood's priority policy issues.

Responsibilities:

- Advocate for relevant policy issues and develop relationships with policymakers in the U.S. Congress

- Lead engagements with industry associations to ensure their agenda supports Robinhood's policy goals

- Apply your political and policy expertise to identify opportunities that advance Robinhood's policy priorities

- Equip key internal business partners with a clear and timely understanding of sophisticated legislative and regulatory policies

- Lead the strategy of and prepare Robinhood executives for engagements with relevant government stakeholders

Requirements:

- 8+ years of experience working in the U.S. Congress and/or Executive Branch, including experience with relevant committees and agencies

- Substantial time working for a member of Congress or a Congressional committee

- Familiarity with financial services companies and ability to communicate sophisticated financial services policy

- Existing relationships and positive rapport with relevant government stakeholders and industry groups

- Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills

- Execution-oriented mindset with drive and creativity to get things done
