## Description

The Starting Hourly Rate is $20.00 USD per hour, with a Pay Range of $20.00 USD - $30.00 USD per hour.

As a Target Security Specialist, you will be part of the Assets Protection (AP) team, which functions to keep guests, team members, and the brand secure and lead through crisis events. Your role will involve:

- Using intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure

- Responding to crisis events, managing safety and crowds, and providing support to guests and team members

- De-escalating situations and using physical security controls

- Operating Target's video surveillance system

- Documenting cases using the case management system

Typical responsibilities include:

- Creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience

- Greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues

- Supporting team efforts and assisting peers in other areas

- Promoting a physical security culture throughout the store

- Responding to and documenting security incidents

- Leveraging de-escalation tactics and resources

- Conducting merchandise theft recoveries and providing theft apprehension support

- Preventing theft and shortage at the front of the store

- Submitting documentation in the case management system

- Be open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts

Requirements include:

- Being at least 18 years of age

- Having a high school diploma or equivalent

- Meeting state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements

- Having a welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members

- Being able to communicate effectively and work independently and as part of a team

- Being able to manage workload and prioritise tasks independently
