## Description

We are seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join our People Strategy & Analytics team at Capital One. This critical role offers great visibility to senior leaders and the chance to set intent within analytically-driven HR priorities.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You will collaborate with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that impact the bottom line.

**Responsibilities:**

- Analyse business challenges and opportunities for improvement, making strategic or tactical recommendations

- Perform modelling and analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for lending products

- Support direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and strategic intent for products

- Connect drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behaviour, creating risk models and testing hypotheses

- Develop and implement solutions, involving problem frameworks, hypothesis testing, and analysis

- Work closely with colleagues across Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance

**Requirements:**

- At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, etc.)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of decision-making based on analytics

- Excellent communication and influencing skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field

- Experience in statistical model building, market research, SQL querying, and business analysis

**Salary:**

- McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 per year

- Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400 per year
