## Description

At Ford Motor Company, a leading global automotive manufacturer, you will work as a CNC Programmer/Operator, playing a crucial role in producing high-quality parts and components for prototype vehicles.

Product Creation and Industrialization (PC&I) brings together Ford’s vehicle, electric, digital, and design teams with its global manufacturing system. As a CNC Programmer/Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines and 5-axis gantry mills to produce precision parts.

Your main tasks will include:

- Developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs using CAM software like PowerMill and Autodesk Fusion

- Setting up and operating CNC milling machines, selecting tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters to achieve desired part geometries and surface finishes

- Producing precision parts for prototype vehicles, adhering to tight tolerances and quality standards

- Collaborating with design engineers to understand design intent, identify potential manufacturing challenges, and provide feedback on design manufacturability

- Continuously evaluating and improving CNC machining processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste

- Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications

- Managing and maintaining an organized inventory of CNC tooling

- Maintaining accurate records of CNC programs, setup sheets, and machining parameters

- Adhering to all safety procedures and protocols

The position requires 5-7+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator, expertise in CNC programming using CAM software, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong understanding of material properties and machinability of various metals, plastics, foams, and composites is essential.

Benefits include immediate medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, paid parental leave, vehicle discount programs, tuition assistance, and generous vacation time.

The salary for this position ranges from $95,300-$159,400.
