## Description

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Inspector - Tooling & Layout at their Kansas City Assembly Plant (KCAP).

**Job Overview** As an Inspector - Tooling & Layout, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining tooling and layout equipment used in the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and repairing various gauges, measuring devices, and equipment.

**Responsibilities**

- Troubleshoot and repair gauges, measuring devices, and equipment, including Zeiss CMMs, Klingelnberg gear checkers, and Marposs and Intra bench gauges.

- Perform gauge surveillance and calibration, including yearly visual inspections and measurement verification.

- Write programs for Zeiss and Klingelnberg equipment.

- Conduct part measurements and work with engineers to evaluate parts.

- Perform preventive maintenance on measurement devices.

- Enter and retrieve gauge information into the IQS gauge record database.

- Access and read blueprints to determine measurement characteristics.

**Requirements**

- Completed a bona fide Toolmaker apprenticeship or 8 years of previous relevant work experience.

- Knowledge and work experience in troubleshooting and repairing gauges, measuring devices, and equipment.

- Familiarity with computer software and hardware, including Windows and Microsoft Office.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Pay and Benefits**

- Top hourly base rate of $45.645, plus applicable shift, overtime, and holiday premiums.

- Starting rate of $45.445 with pay increases to the top rate upon completion of three consecutive months of employment.
