## Description

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified Long Term Substitute Teacher at Youngstown Academy of Excellence in Youngstown, Ohio.

The role involves preparing and delivering lesson plans, differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students, maintaining accurate records of students' progress, and creating a positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing and delivering lesson plans with the ability to modify them during the school year

- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students

- Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development

- Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

- Managing student behavior in the classroom

- Creating a positive classroom environment for students to learn in

- Implementing school-wide culture expectations and norms

- Communicating and meeting with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child

- Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning

- Participating in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed

- Collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues

Requirements:

- Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area

- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field

- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to properly manage confidential information

- Ability to supervise students of various ages in different school settings

- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks

- Experience working within an urban environment
