## Description

As a Project Accountant at WSP, you will support the financial health of projects that shape communities.

You will provide support and oversight on a portfolio of projects with multiple Project Managers across business units.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing financial support and oversight to project teams

- Leading financial reviews to ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies

- Assisting Project Managers through the financial lifecycle of a project

- Ensuring accurate and timely recording of cost and revenue transactions

- Setting up and updating projects accurately in the system

- Working with the Project Delivery Team to ensure timely project reviews and addressing financial issues

- Assessing project financial risks and updating the project risk register

- Training and educating project delivery teams on project analysis tools and systems

- Possessing in-depth knowledge of the company's revenue and costing methodologies

- Assisting with external and internal project audit requirements

- Understanding commercial, billing, and payment terms on projects

- Preparing ad hoc financial reports for management

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Administration or Accounting

- 3+ years of experience in project accounting or financial and operational management

- Knowledge of the professional services industry and project-based accounting

- Experience with ERP systems

- Excellent command of Microsoft Windows tools

- Fluency in French

- Knowledge of Oracle would be an asset
