## Description

We are seeking a Specialty Sales Team Leader to join our team at Target. As a Specialty Sales Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales growth, and leading a team of hourly team members.

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $22.25 - $24.25. The full pay range for this position per hour is $22.25 - $37.80.

As a Specialty Sales Team Leader, you will:

- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience

- Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations

- Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognising great guest experience moments

- Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align team on the right behaviours and execution

- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritises the guest service experience

- Plan daily/weekly workload at the direction of your direct leader and execute the same to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement

- Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning

- Develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate

- Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns

- Encourage team to use tools available in their department to welcome, inspire, and influence guests

- Partner with third-party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are being met

- Support team execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets and visual presentations

- Create inspiring visual moments by ensuring product is organised, signed correctly, and merchandised to support seasonal trends

- Support your direct leader in leading assigned department area backroom processes, organisation, layout, and replenishment of the sales floor

- Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes

- Lead your team in prioritising the guest experience by ensuring the fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe

- Support your direct leader in establishing clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations

- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

- Lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modelling and recognising safe behaviours

- Model the execution of physical security processes to enhance the in-store security culture

- Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store

- Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty responsibilities

- Address all store emergency and compliance needs

- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up

We are looking for someone who:

- Enjoys interacting and helping others

- Thrives in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role

- Is open to working a variable work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts

- Has a high school diploma or equivalent

- Is at least 18 years of age or older

- Has previous retail experience (preferred but not required)

- Can lead and hold others accountable

- Can communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment

- Can work independently and as part of a team

- Can manage workload and prioritise tasks independently

- Has a welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members

- Has effective communication skills

- Can remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
