## Description

Priory Hospital Chelmsford is seeking a self-employed Visiting Consultant Psychiatrist. Chelmer Ward and The Lodge are private general psychiatry and addiction treatment facilities providing person-centred care to individuals with mental health issues such as psychosis, mood disorders, and anxiety.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in patients' recovery, assisting with assessments and implementing individual care plans. You will:

- Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds and risk reviews

- Fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983)

- Supervise referrals and admissions, contributing to pre-admission assessments

- Offer a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team on patient assessment, formulation, and treatment

The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills, resilience, and empathy. Requirements include:

- GMC registration with the relevant Specialist Register

- CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in Psychiatry

- Experience working in inpatient settings with individuals experiencing significant mental health difficulties
