## Description

Leidos' Defense Sector Manufacturing Segment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its Persistent Surveillance Manufacturing Team at its Platform Integration Facility in Huntsville, AL.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee and optimize the production process, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure efficiency and quality. The role involves coordinating with Planning & Production Control, Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers at other sites, and Operations Leads to ensure that manufacturing Bills of Materials (mBOMs) are up to date, lead times are documented, and work order instructions are available when needed.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

- Manage Manufacturing Orders to meet project schedules.

- Implement procedures and techniques to transform raw materials into finished products efficiently and effectively.

- Use MES software (Solumina) to implement, track, monitor, and control manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance.

- Generate and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOMs).

- Generate routings inside Solumina to account for accurate run times.

- Identify and execute on continuous improvement projects.

- Identify and reduce risks in the production processes.

- Plan and maintain production flow through MRP system, including change management and make/buy designation.

- Execute Configuration & Data Management processes and controls for managing and tracking changes.

- Define manufacturing processes, procedures, and production flow for assembly, integration, and testing of space products.

- Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple projects.

- Resolve problems related to production jobs.

- Monitor production status of jobs to ensure they meet schedule requirements.

- Oversee and optimize the production process, from raw materials to finished products, to ensure efficiency and quality.

- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations Leads, and Inventory Control.

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least 2 years of prior relevant experience.

- Must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

- Basic experience with Manufacturing, Assembly & Integration experience with Mechanical or Structural components.

- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience with test operations including set-up calibration and operation of GSE used in the production process.

- Experience with manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test processes, procedure development, and implementation.

- Experience with utilizing MRP and experience with ERP/PLM/MES systems.

- Proficient understanding of GD&T.

- Deltek, Costpoint ERP & MRP, Solumina, Windchill.

- Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 processes.

- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

**Pay Range:** $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
