## Description

Electronic Arts seeks a Senior Game Designer for its EA SPORTS NHL team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The successful candidate will lead a pod of designers to deliver high-quality experiences across defined areas of the product.

The Senior Game Designer will report to the Game Design Director and manage a team of designers. Key responsibilities include:

- End-to-end ownership of features from inception to completion

- Clear communication of feature vision and mechanics to cross-functional teams and leadership

- Iterative design and championing a culture of prototyping and iteration

- Team leadership, mentoring, and growth of designers

- Design excellence and participation in design reviews

- Adoption of AI and automation foundations to drive evolutionary changes in game construction

- Adaptable and utilitarian design approach

- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Production, Audio, Art, UI/UX, and Engineering

- Data-informed vision, analyzing real-world sports broadcasts, market trends, and player behavior

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least 5 years of experience as a Game Designer working on console/AAA game development

- Direct experience in personnel management, coaching, and developing design talent

- Demonstrated ability as a highly motivated self-starter

- Familiarity with adopting AI foundations or automation logic

- Familiarity with data-driven design methodologies

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
