## Description

Challenge Preparatory Charter School is seeking a Grade 7 Math Teacher for the 26-27 school year. The teacher will deliver exceptional instruction and assess student growth, creating academically rigorous and culturally relevant lesson plans, materials, and assessments.

Responsibilities include:

- Assume a high level of personal responsibility for the progress of all students

- Create and execute lesson plans that focus on conceptual understanding and assess student mastery

- Teach engaging, rigorous, and relevant lessons daily

- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including scholars, families, and staff

- Collaborate with colleagues to create and refine schoolwide and classroom-based systems

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in education or mathematics-related field

- New York State Teaching Certification

- Strong understanding of middle school-level mathematics

- Experience working with middle school-aged children
