## Description

We are seeking a Surgical Care Practitioner to join our team at The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

The successful candidate will assist in surgical interventions under the instruction and supervision of the operating surgeon, within their agreed scope of competence. Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with surgical procedures, such as tissue retraction, suctioning, irrigation, haemostasis, and wound closure

- Making clinical decisions and exercising professional judgment in line with national guidance, training, and delegation agreements

- Completing operative records accurately on behalf of the surgeon

- Assisting in collecting post-operative outcome data

- Contributing to the quality assurance and governance process through accurate and accountable clinical records

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

- NMC or HCPC registration with post-registration qualification as a Surgical Care Practitioner

- Proven experience in a theatre environment and competence in assisting with surgical procedures

- Experience in robotic surgery, specifically in Urology, Gynaecology, General, Colorectal, and/or Thoracic

- Excellent understanding of surgical anatomy, aseptic technique, and intraoperative patient care

- Ability to exercise clinical judgment, work under pressure, and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism

- Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills, with a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care

Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £45.00 per hour, depending on level of experience, training, and qualification.
