## Description

We are seeking a Customer and Trading Manager for our small supermarket in Hawick, Roxburghshire. As a Customer and Trading Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager on site with accountability for the full shop.

You will work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day. Your responsibilities will include:

- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store

- Working alongside a team to complete all tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely

- Managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries, and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate

- Providing brilliant customer service and coaching a team to do the same

- Delivering KPIs and other performance indicators

- Leading operations and being comfortable doing this alone in the absence of more senior management

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment

- Experience of leading a team in a customer-facing environment

- Operational leadership skills

- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs

- Ability to manage employee relations issues, including performance and absence management
