## Description

We are seeking a Customer and Trading Manager to lead our small supermarket team in Cheddar, Somerset. As a Customer and Trading Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager on site. You will work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Manage the day-to-day running of the store, taking responsibility for the full shop

- Work alongside a team to complete all tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely

- Manage performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate

- Provide brilliant customer service and coach a team to do the same

- Deliver KPIs and other performance indicators

**Requirements:**

- Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment

- Experience of leading a team in a customer-facing environment

- Operational leadership skills

- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs

- Ability to manage employee relations issues, including performance and absence management
