## Description

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Wiring Design and Installation Engineer (Level 3) in North Charleston, SC.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs for our diverse portfolio of advanced Commercial Aircraft.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining critical electrical cable/wire harness installation, detail and assembly designs

- Defining the physical routing layout of wire routing throughout the airplane

- Ensuring Safety and Quality are the number 1 priority

- Collaborating with partners on the factory floor to ensure designs can be built efficiently and safely

- Analyzing engineering design disposition on discrepancies

- Following and looking for improvements to documented processes, specifications and procedures

- Participating in technical reviews of supplier capabilities

- Working with and under general supervision of a lead engineer and an experienced mentor

This role will focus heavily on 787 seats and interiors.

The position is expected to be 100% onsite.

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications

- 4+ years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience with Aviation/Aerospace interiors

- 3+ years of experience in Computer aided design (CAD) tools

- Experience working in a cross functional team environment

- Verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of CATIA V5
