## Description

As a Mechanical Engineer on the datacenter engineering team, you will design, build, and activate some of the world's most technically advanced datacenter facilities.

You will be the subject matter expert on thermal management, pumping, flow control, HVAC, and other critical fluid systems.

Responsibilities:

- Own and be the subject matter expert on fluid/HVAC components across datacenter builds – chillers, pumps, dry coolers, chemical treatment, water storage, building pressurization, comfort heating/cooling, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and systems.

- Perform CAD modeling and design of these systems, deconflicting your design with other disciplines in three dimensions.

- Perform fluid analyses for pressure balance, component design allowable, and consumables determination.

- Coordinate with procurement, construction, and other disciplines to select, apply, and procure equipment to your design that meets the timeline, cost profile, and performance required for the build.

- Ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable when designing for internal manufacturing partners; work with the production team to ensure a smooth transition to a reliable manufacturing process that has minimal design engineering sustainment engineering required.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.

- 1+ years of professional experience working with various fluids components such as valves, pumps, COPVs, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensors.

Senior Level Qualifications:

- PE License.

- 10+ years of professional experience working with various fluids components such as valves, pumps, COPVs, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensors.

- Proven track record of effective management and leadership.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Professional Engineering licensure.

- Consulting experience in the datacenter market – AI-specific experience preferred.

- Hands-on experience with fluid (liquid and/or gas) handling systems.

- Experience using data acquisition equipment, as well as test instrumentation and control components: pressure transducers, thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, relays.

- Experience with HVAC systems and air ducting.

- Experienced in REVIT with a solid understanding and application of parametric design tools and software.

- Ability to work independently.
