## Description

We're seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team in Chennai, responsible for maintaining and building pay-related features for VNDLY, a Workday company. As a hands-on-keyboard role, you'll design, build, and own the scalability and resilience of critical services.

You'll tackle complex challenges related to onboarding, managing, and paying contingent workers, working on key features like Jobs, Worker Provisioning, Contracts, and Integrations. You'll be a key voice in architectural decisions and guide the team in building robust solutions using Python, React, and AWS.

**Responsibilities**

- Design, build, and maintain critical services for pay-related features

- Own the scalability and resilience of services

- Collaborate with teams to solve complex challenges

- Guide the team in building robust solutions using Python, React, and AWS

**Requirements**

- 4+ years of experience in software development

- Experience with RESTful web services and SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)

- Deep proficiency in Python and experience with at least one Python web framework (e.g., Django, Flask)

- Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.js

**Nice to Have**

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g., Git)

- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)

- Knowledge of SaaS applications, multi-tenant architectures, and DevOps/CI/CD practices

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
