## Description

As a Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities and close deals by providing technical expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with the sales and customer success teams to explain the value, vision, and strategy of Datadog's offerings to customers

- Continuously learning new technologies to enhance your knowledge of competitive products, technical skills, and credibility as an expert

- Delivering product and technical presentations to a wide range of prospective and existing customers

- Communicating directly with the product team to relay customer feedback and requests for new features

- Supporting customers through product validation, implementation, and onboarding, and resolving any challenges or obstacles that arise

- Providing creative solutions to complex technical problems that customers face throughout their lifecycle

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- At least two years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer, with experience in DevOps/SRE or platform engineering

- Knowledge of DevOps monitoring, cloud architecture tools, and modern web development, as well as practical experience in these areas

- Native-level Japanese language skills, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with customers in Japan

- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborating with teams

- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently deliver technical presentations and product demos

- Flexibility and creativity in approaching complex technical challenges

- A passion for technology and a desire to continually develop your skills
