## Description

We are seeking a Wastewater Operative to join our team in Belfast, Northern Ireland. As a leading provider of integrated facility services, ABM plays a crucial role in maintaining a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable world.

The successful candidate will operate and monitor the effluent/wastewater treatment plant, carry out routine plant checks, and respond to alarms and operating issues. The ideal candidate will have a relevant technical qualification in water/wastewater treatment, environmental operations, science, or engineering, and practical experience in process-plant operation.

Key responsibilities include:

- Operating and monitoring the effluent/wastewater treatment plant

- Carrying out routine plant checks and recording process readings

- Responding to alarms and operating issues

- Collecting representative water and effluent samples

- Maintaining deionised water systems

- Supporting controlled chemical additions and production requirements

- Reporting out-of-specification results and supporting investigation and corrective action

The role requires a methodical and safety-conscious approach to plant operation and chemical handling, strong observation and basic fault-finding skills, and accurate record keeping.
