## Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at Plant Hatch in Baxley, GA.

As an engineer at Southern Nuclear, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our plant systems. You will have the opportunity to work as a system engineer or design engineer, with responsibilities including:

- System engineers: Ensure the reliability of assigned plant systems, solve system and component problems, provide technical support for operation and maintenance, and plan long-term performance improvements.

- Design engineers: Prepare and coordinate designs, calculations, drawings, cost estimates, and schedules for plant modifications and retrofits. Field walk-downs for constructability and some construction coordination are also required.

Engineers at Southern Nuclear may have opportunities to manage special projects, take on key refueling outage assignments, and participate in on-call duty engineer and emergency plan response requirements. Future developmental assignments in operations, maintenance, training, or quality assurance can prepare engineers for supervisory and management positions.

**Requirements:**

- BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited school or PE license

- Electrical Engineering degree required

- Ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Proven organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously

- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Must live within 90 miles of the SNC Emergency Operations Facility for emergency response availability
