## Description

We are seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join our team in India, focusing on substation design projects. You will create detailed engineering drawings for Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects, including Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), ranging from 11kV up to 400kV.

Responsibilities:

- Create detailed engineering drawings for EHV projects

- Prepare and develop EC&I deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, loop drawings, and cable block diagrams

- Develop drawings to support detailed engineering, including Land Utilisation Plans and Elevations

- Facilitate coordination of design activities across various departments

- Assist with preparing and revising existing engineering drawings

- Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures

- Coordinate with team members and monitor project schedules

- Maintain compliance with CDM Regulations and other legal requirements

- Collaborate with WSP UK office on design activities

- Develop and enhance processes, tools, and technologies

- Conduct periodic quality checks for other engineers and designers

- Exhibit problem-solving skills and contribute to departmental tools and workflows

Qualifications:

- Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline

Preferred qualifications and experience:

- Experience working with Raster image files

- Familiarity with UK projects and experience working on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects

- Experience in Onshore wind, Offshore wind, Renewable (solar), and BESS projects

- Familiarity with 3D tools (Revit) for Engineering design

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs
