## Description

We are seeking a certified Medical Assistant to join our PedsFamMed practice in Springville, Utah. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Facilitate quality patient care under the supervision of a provider

- Verify patient information, record medical history, and confirm the purpose of visits

- Prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests

- Maintain patient confidentiality and secure patient information

- Assist with office procedures, injections, and other tasks as needed

- Triage phone messages from patients and respond accordingly

- Communicate test and lab results to patients

- Schedule referrals and follow-ups as needed

- Work with insurance companies and pharmacies to obtain prior authorizations

- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment

- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and certification

- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 4 months of hiring)

- Working knowledge of medical terminology

- Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push, and carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally

- Excellent computer, telephone, and communication skills

- Outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail

- Self-motivated, team-oriented, dependable, friendly, and professional

- Previous medical experience preferred but not required

Hours:

- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm
