## Description

PayPal seeks a Data Engineering Manager in Austin, TX.

The successful candidate will define and execute the data engineering strategy for developer productivity platforms, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.

Key responsibilities:

- Design and oversee the implementation of scalable data architectures that support data collection, processing, and analysis

- Develop a platform that provides actionable insights to teams to identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and accelerate software delivery

- Define the data ingestion, processing, and storage strategy

- Design and develop reports and visualizations that provide actionable insights to engineers, managers, and leaders

- Leverage data to drive business outcomes and translate complex data challenges into strategic opportunities

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement key metrics for measuring developer productivity

Requirements:

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field

- 3+ years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation

- Experience with cloud data solutions (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Kafka, Spark)

- Proficiency in Python and SQL

- Experience with BI tools and data visualization techniques (PowerBI, Tableau)

- Knowledge of data modeling and data aggregation methodologies

- Experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery)

- Strong software engineering skills and development experience with Java and similar OOP skills

- Experience in team management of software and data management teams

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is: $160,500.00-273,500.00 per annum.
