## Description

Capital One is seeking highly motivated Senior Risk Associates to support the Upmarket and Discover Card business segments. As a Senior Risk Associate, you will function as a key partner in supporting high-visibility and critical risk management activities across multiple lines of defense.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate ownership in executing risk management activities and possess a growth mindset and willingness to learn new activities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Directly support vertical risk managers and accountable executives for the Upmarket and Discover Card business segments

- Execute critical risk management activities with and independent of the vertical risk manager

- Coordinate priorities with teams to meet goals and timelines

- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders

- Collect data and develop risk transparency for senior leadership and executives

- Develop business acumen to represent the business to 2nd and 3rd line of defense partners

- Develop and maintain formal process documentation

**Requirements:**

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

- At least 1 year of experience in financial services, project or process management

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

- 2+ years of experience in project or process management

- 1+ years of experience in risk management

- 2+ years of experience in presentation or communication

- 1+ years of experience in change management

**Salary Information:**

- McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 per year

- Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 per year

- Riverwoods, IL: $87,700 - $100,100 per year
