## Description

We are seeking a Vice President for Transaction Monitoring – Analytics at Barclays, located in Gurugram.

The successful candidate will design, develop, implement, and maintain various statistical, mathematical, and machine learning models to support decision-making by analysing and solving complex problems.

**Responsibilities**

- Acquire and collect data from various sources, including internal databases, external datasets, and real-time feeds.

- Perform data cleaning and pre-processing tasks to ensure data quality and suitability for model development.

- Design and implement data management strategies for model maintenance and future development.

- Design, develop, and implement statistical and machine learning models for various applications, including credit risk assessment, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and marketing optimisation.

- Monitor model performance in real-time and identify any potential issues or biases.

- Lead training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions to uplift machine learning capability across the organisation.

- Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of AI innovation.

**Vice President Expectations**

- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.

- Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.

- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work of your team.

- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation's functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.

- Collaborate with other areas of work to provide business-aligned support.

- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.

**Requirements**

- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and PySpark.

- Relevant experience in data analytics.

- Exposure to business intelligence tools like MI (e.g., Tableau/Power BI) is preferred.

- Machine learning experience is an added advantage.

- Familiarity with transaction monitoring, financial crime, fraud, or anti-money laundering is required.

- Bachelor's degree is required.
