## Description

As a Risk Manager at Capital One, you'll work with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to the company. You'll be the front line of defense to ensure Capital One remains stable and profitable.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the core resource for modernizing the Prohibited Activity Monitoring program within the Global Payment Network.

- Support a high visibility initiative, including establishing program success metrics, evaluating existing monitoring against future needs, enhancing activity detection while lowering false positive rates, overseeing pilot programs, and creating program frameworks.

- Create and present program updates and escalations to executive audiences.

- Partner across multiple lines of business to establish a flexible program framework that can be iteratively enhanced.

- Provide audit support for internal and external exams.

- Consistently evaluate operations for optimization and automation opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree or military experience

- At least 1 year of Financial Services Risk Management Experience

- At least 3 years of Project Management experience

- At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications:

- At least 5 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk

- At least 3 years of Financial Services risk management experience

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Master's Certificate in Project Management

- Experience setting direction, managing stakeholder expectations, and leading cross-functional teams

This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are expected to adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location.

Salary: Chicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Risk Manager Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager
