## Description

We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our rapidly-growing team in Reston, Virginia. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy robust full-stack software solutions, spanning front-end user interfaces to resilient back-end services and optimised database interactions. You will proactively maintain, update, and refactor existing mission-critical software systems to ensure longevity and performance.

Responsibilities include:

- Designing and deploying full-stack software solutions

- Maintaining and updating existing software systems

- Contributing to software development for critical tasks as needed

- Adhering to software best practices and coding standards

- Performing rapid issue triage and in-depth root cause analysis to diagnose and resolve complex system failures

You will need to work within tight timelines and resource constraints while still delivering a high-quality product. You will be responsible for developing full-stack software solutions to challenging technical problems.

Required qualifications include:

- 1-3 years of experience in full-stack software development

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM field, or equivalent industry experience

- Proven ability to quickly onboard, understand, and contribute effectively to large, complex existing codebases and systems

- A genuine passion for leveraging technology to solve complex national security challenges in a high-stakes, rapid-development environment

- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Preferred qualifications include:

- Experience working in C#, Typescript/Javascript, or Java

- Direct experience with SQL Server, including schema design, query optimisation, and stored procedures

- Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular)

- Experience in DevOps (CI/CD, containerisation, sharding)

- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, libraries, or experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into software applications
