## Description

Join our team as a PreOp Registered Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. **Responsibilities:**

- Prepare patients' care areas adequately before each case

- Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for patients' procedures

- Conduct complete physical and psychological assessments and evaluations of patients' histories and diagnostic tests

- Review patients' charts for completeness prior to surgery

- Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed

- Monitor patients until transferred to the OR

**Qualifications:**

- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required

- 1+ year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery

- Active RN license as required by state of employment

- BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)

- ACLS required within 30-days of hire

- PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
