## Description

As a Host / Hostess at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, you will greet guests and determine the number in their party. You will seat guests by finding a clean, available table; pulling out chairs; and placing clean, current menus in front of them. Your responsibilities will also include:

- Guiding guests through the dining rooms and providing any needed assistance

- Moving and arranging tables, chairs, and settings to organize seating for groups with special needs

- Ensuring place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and other standard items

- Checking menus for currency, cleanliness, and plentiful supply

- Maintaining cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures

- Monitoring dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being

You will also be expected to:

- Follow all company and safety policies and procedures

- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your manager

- Complete safety training and certifications

- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance

- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information

- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

- No related work experience required

- No supervisory experience required

- No license or certification required
