## Description

As a Staff+ Software Engineer in the Platform Acceleration team, you will build internal tools for Anthropic's product engineers who own the Claude API, SDKs, and the Claude Platform. Your focus will be on developer experience, and you will work like a small product team with other Anthropic engineers.

Responsibilities:

- Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, ensuring its hardest problems get solved.

- Design, build, and operate tools that help Platform teams ship code faster.

- Define what it takes to trust a change and build tooling to hold that bar.

- Build agents that automate repetitive engineering work.

- Collaborate with partner teams to find friction points and develop solutions.

- Measure developer experience and adoption to inform future development.

Requirements:

- Experience building and operating large-scale backend services or distributed systems.

- Proficiency in Go, Python, Rust, or TypeScript.

- Deep experience with developer tooling, CI/CD, test infrastructure, or deployment systems.

- Experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience at a startup or similar small team.

- Substantial experience with agents that do engineering or technical work.

- Experience building widely adopted CLI tools or developer-facing services.

- Depth in progressive delivery, observability, or workflow orchestration.

The annual compensation range for this role is $405,000-$485,000 USD.
