## Description

Lead the design and development of technologies driving aerodynamic performance in Formula 1.

At Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, we're seeking an experienced Senior Aero R&D Design Engineer to own complex design projects and develop innovative engineering solutions across our Aero Group.

You'll work on wind tunnel models, aerodynamic test equipment, wind tunnel facilities, and full-scale dyno programmes, leading projects from concept to design, manufacture, and testing. Collaboration with engineers and stakeholders will be crucial, delivering high-quality solutions quickly in a demanding environment.

## Key Responsibilities

- Lead complex Aero R&D design projects from concept to manufacture, testing, and implementation.

- Design and develop wind tunnel models, components, rigs, tooling, fixtures, and aerodynamic test equipment.

- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure project alignment and delivery.

- Create, review, and approve 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.

- Apply mechanical engineering principles and stress analysis to develop effective solutions.

- Drive continuous improvement in design processes and provide technical guidance.

## Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- Proven senior mechanical design engineering experience, ideally in Formula 1.

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

- Advanced 3D CAD modelling skills, preferably using CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE.

- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis and design for manufacture.

- Experience with manufacturing processes, physical testing, and kinematic suspension models.

- Excellent project management and communication skills.
