## Description

As a Principal Material Project Manager at Leidos in Huntsville, AL, you will play a crucial role in executing material strategy across programs by managing open purchase orders, resolving delays, and driving supplier accountability.

You will act as the primary interface between Leidos and key suppliers, escalating delivery risks, resolving performance issues, and ensuring adherence to contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the execution of material strategy across the program

- Managing open purchase orders and resolving delays

- Driving supplier accountability

- Articulating the value, schedule, and decision points to senior leaders and personnel

- Managing projects, including requirements justification, planning, executing, and evaluating

- Participating in sourcing process improvement projects

- Resolving Supply Chain issues for the program

- Resolving program material cost problems

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of Supply Chain and related systems, along with material procurement, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

**Requirements:**

- BA degree and 12–15 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10–13 years of prior relevant experience

- U.S. citizenship

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

- Expert knowledge of industry practices, advanced techniques, and solutions within a professional discipline

- Proven ability to be a self-starter and quick learner

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced situation with continuous innovation and flexibility

- High level of proficiency in MS Office products

- Working knowledge of customer flow-through requirements

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Supplier relationship management experience

- Deltek Costpoint experience

- Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies

- PowerBI experience

- Previous mechanical or electronic manufacturing environment experience

- Active and current Secret clearance

**Pay Range:** $116,350.00 - $210,325.00
