## Description

WSP USA's Power and Energy Team is seeking a Full-Time Overhead Transmission Line Design Engineering Intern to work out of our St. Louis, MO office. This temporary position is for individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program, anticipated to take place during the Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 semesters.

As an intern, you will support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. Responsibilities include:

- Supporting project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis

- Assisting with preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates

- Collecting and maintaining project documentation

- Completing training on assigned tasks

- Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct

Requirements:

- Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later

- Must be 18 or older

- Demonstrated interest in Civil Engineering or a related field

- Competent interpersonal and communication skills

- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools

- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship

Preferred qualifications:

- Demonstrated academic achievement (e.g., GPA 3.0+)

- Coursework in structural analysis, concrete, steel, soils, foundations, and surveying

- Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills

- Prior internship and/or related engineering experience

- Familiarity with design, drafting, or engineering software such as MATHCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD
