## Description

Our Hardware Engineers at Synopsys are responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge semiconductor solutions. They work on intricate tasks such as chip architecture, circuit design, and verification to ensure the efficiency and reliability of semiconductor products. These engineers play a crucial role in advancing technology and enabling innovations in various industries.

As a Firmware Engineering Manager at Synopsys, you will lead a team of 5 to 8 firmware engineers building training algorithms and control logic for next-generation DDR, LPDDR, and HBM memory interface PHYs. You will manage the full project lifecycle for complex PHY firmware deliverables, from architecture discussions through customer deployment and support. You will spend up to 20% of your time working directly with global customers to clarify requirements, resolve technical issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading a team of firmware engineers

- Managing project lifecycles

- Coaching and developing engineers

- Driving engineering standards

- Debugging and resolving issues

- Representing the team in technical reviews

- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager leading embedded firmware or silicon IP development teams

- Strong proficiency in C for embedded firmware applications

- Hands-on experience with RTL waveform analysis and debugging

- Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow engineers

- Strong communication skills
