## Description

Howden is seeking an experienced Head of Monitoring to provide strategic oversight of our compliance monitoring framework and help shape our approach to regulatory assurance across the UK&I business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior compliance professional looking to influence regulatory oversight across a large and diverse organisation. You will lead our Compliance Monitoring function, working closely with senior stakeholders to provide assurance, insight and challenge, while driving continuous improvement in our compliance framework.

Key responsibilities:

- Design and deliver robust monitoring frameworks, methodologies and programmes.

- Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required.

- Provide relevant and timely management information to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Senior Management of the Howden UK&I businesses.

- Contribute to the Howden UK&I Compliance Plan.

- Work with senior operational management to ensure that compliance systems and controls remain appropriate.

- Work with the Risk Management Function to deliver support in relation to regulatory risk.

Requirements:

- Significant experience within Compliance Monitoring, Assurance, Remediation or Regulatory Advisory roles in financial services.

- Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, particularly relating to health, benefits and life insurance products.

- Good understanding of investment, pension and mortgage regulatory requirements.

- Proven experience developing and implementing monitoring frameworks and assurance programmes.

- Ability to engage, influence and challenge stakeholders at Executive and Board level.

- Strong analytical and communication skills.

- Experience leading and developing compliance teams in a regulated environment.
